This event will be a meet and greet signing at Bethany Beach Books!
About Mary Lou:
I grew up in Wildwood, NJ and now live in Wilmington DE. I volunteered for years with various Veterans' Organizations including USO at Dover Air Force Base; Soldiers' Angels Organization (where I mailed monthly care packages and sent weekly letters for support to combat deployed Service members); Friends of the Fallen at Dover Air Force Base; and Red Circle Foundation. I worked many years for a local hospital in their IT Department as a Systems Analyst. And, now, as a retiree, I continue to write poetry and am an avid reader of history. Interestingly, I wrote my first war poem in the fifth grade and won first Prize - this was the beginning. I am an active member with the Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild. Among my spare moments, I relish the company of my wonderful and loving grandchildren. Please feel free to contact me at SinkeyAuthor@gmail.com
Pocket Full of Soliders
A valuable book of war poems that renders homage to our veterans. Each poem movingly depicts their bravery, sacrifice, pain, and glory. Throughout the book, Mary Lou Sinkey reveals the dauntless courage of our veterans, the honor of service, and the despair of war. Mary Lou has done justice to our brave men and women who serve and have served. She reminds us that without them, freedom will not ring.
