Meet author Tracey Smith, author of Where’s Grandma? on Saturday, August 17th at 6pm!
About Tracey:
Tracey Smith is a children’s book author, who resides in Maryland. Tracey always wanted to publish her own children’s book, and with motivation through her granddaughter's eyes, she decided to give it a try, and wrote her first children’s book titled, A Day in Quarantine with Jordyn: Jordyns’ Journeys, during the COVID outbreak. This book takes you through a day in quarantine with Jordyn and all of the fun things that she does with her mom. The book is available in several public county libraries, such as Montgomery, Frederick, Prince George’s, Baltimore and Dorchester County Public Libraries in Maryland, as well as libraries in Solano County, California, and Wayne County, Michigan. It’s available in the Chicago Public Library as well. It's also available for Montgomery County Public Schools Media Specialists to order in their database, for their individual school libraries.
Tracey added a Jordyn's Journeys Coloring & Activity Book to the series, as well as a Spanish version of A Day in Quarantine with Jordyn.
She recently added a new book to the series titled Where's Grandma?: A Child's View in Loss, Grief and Bereavement. This book takes you through Jordyn's Journey, as she deals with the loss of her great-grandma. It's a beautifully illustrated children's book dealing with loss and grief, from a child's perspective.
