Summer 2025 Events

Thank you for your interest in scheduling an author event with Bethany Beach Books for Summer 2025! We support our community and authors through our events program, and we take pride in helping authors promote their work. We build our summer schedule based on customer interest, relevance to our community and past events. Not every book is a good fit for our store, and we are unable to accommodate all requests for events.

We host our author events between mid-June and mid-August each year.
Events are typically scheduled for evenings from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Alternate timing can be prearranged on an event-by-event basis, but this is subject to availability and approval of our event coordinator.
Our events are casual meet-and-greet/signing line events as we find this suits our customer base best and has proven to be most successful. We do not host talks or readings.
Hosted authors are required to advertise their event with Bethany Beach Books on their website, blog, social media outlets, etc.
Promotion of purchasing on Amazon or other competitive big-box retailers is not tolerated during the event at Bethany Beach Books.
Independent authors who do not already have an active Independent Author contract with BBB must fill out the program application here if their book is not available through Ingram or another approved distributor or publisher. Please note: Our event coordinator will communicate if your book needs to be in our Independent Author Program if you are unsure. Failure to join the Independent Author Program will forfeit your right to an event.
Please be aware that our town is very weather-dependent during the summer months and poor weather is (sadly) out of our control. Weather can affect foot traffic throughout the town.
