Burning Desires
Burning Desires is an historical romance set against the backdrop of the majestic San Juan Mountains and spectacular San Luis Valley, Colorado. The story begins with a mining explosion in Cripple Creek in 1891 and ends a year later with the conflagration of Creede. Forged in the fires of a mining disaster, a town fire, a train robbery, a kidnapping, an attempted rape, a brother's betrayal, and a father's execution, the hero and heroine’s love triumphs.
About Karen:
I was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Rockville, MD in 1966 when I was a teenager. I began my teaching career in 1975 and retired as an Assistant Principal in 2017. My completed novels include Burning Desires, Purple Passages, Secrets in the Halls and its sequel, The Light in the Hall (waiting for publication). I am married to my high school sweetheart, Mark. We have three adult children and four grandchildren.
